R&D Center conducts research focused on software and production solutions development in which IT technologies support innovations and create an added value. The Center owns a vast array of ready-to-use R&D results in such fields as printing and packaging manufacturing that can be provided to clients who are interested in obtaining UE funding for their projects.

R&D Center has been established in Cracow in 2011 as a part of the Company’s development strategy. The Center employs a wide array of specialist in such fields as packaging technologies, printing, ICT, production engineering, systems engineering, chemistry and machines communication that also specialize in technology transfer, R&D commercialization, patenting, printing processes technology and software programming. The R&D conducted by the Print and Packaging Center include:

-          Process innovations such as B2B communication, machines communication (production automatization), decreasing material consumption, digital printing technologies,

-          Product innovations such as smart packaging, functional product diversification, copying and forgery prevention, flexible electronics (printing electronic elements on standard materials)

-          Material innovations such as recyclable packaging materials, food packaging with barrier layers, functional paints (with thermal and conductive characteristics) , special glues or nanomaterials.

Apart from conducting R&D and selling its results, R&D specialists prepare opinions on innovativeness and patent pending documentation.

R&D Center utilizes its international contacts to transfer knowledge and know-how with world’s leading printing and packaging technologies institutes, universities and R&D units such as Fraunhofer Institute, Warsaw University of Technology, Łódź University of Technology, West Pomeranian University, University of Science and Technology in Cracow, Central Research & Development Unit for Printing Industry, Central Research & Development Unit for Packaging Industry and The International Cooperation for the Integration of Processes in Prepress, Press, and Postpress Organization.

So far,  R&D Center conducted a wide array of highly innovative projects within Smart Growth Operational Programme, Innovative Economy Operational Programme, National Center for Research and Development, B2B partnership projects and international projects within the CIP4 Consortium.

Each year, the number of  R&D Center clients that successfully acquire UE funding for their projects increases. Many of these clients have repeatedly obtained UE funding based on the innovative technologies provided by  R&D Center.
